A very warm welcome to all visitors to our site, especially to our families who will be associated with our school over the next few years. At Long Bay Primary School we are committed to providing high quality whole child education, inspiring children to become confident, connected, actively-involved lifelong learners.
In 2010 our school-wide focus is ‘Heroes' where we will focus on finding the hero inside ourselves and exploring heroes of the past, present and future. Through this theme the children will be involved in a range of inquiry-based learning activities at class, syndicate and school-wide level that will incorporate knowledge, skills and values across a variety of curriculum areas.
There will be a range of exciting developments happening at Long Bay Primary this year including: our first school twilight gala on Friday March 12th; increased provision of specialist arts classes for all children to include each of the four arts disciplines: dance, drama, music and visual art programmes for all classes; the school wide performance arts production in term 4; the re-design of our school website and the upgrade of the school communication network to provide high speed broadband access.
This year will also see the election of a new Board of Trustees, the development of a new strategic plan and the implementation of the National Standards.
